Mankind's expansion into space has finally begun. But if were are to survive and gain a foothold beyond our cradle, we must be able to adapt to any environment. This flexible system of connected modules is a defined standard. The elements can form an number of shapes, with extensions and attachments swapped out at will. A transit ship can become an orbital station, which can become a surface outpost, which will in turn become the foundations of an extra-planetary city.
The pods can link together and spin to simulate the environment of their eventual destination. Once they arrive, they can disperse and land, forming a base of operations. There is no duplication - a habitat is a habitat, regardless of where it is put. This project formed my entry to the Jacques Rougerie Competition.
